Assisted Living Week at Fort Scott Manor highlighted by many fun activities
Fort Scott Presbyterian Manor will celebrate National Assisted Living Week Sept. 8-14 with a host of fun and meaningful activities.
This year’s theme is “A Spark of Creativity,” and activities will be built around that.
On Monday, Sept. 9, a speaker will talk about being created by God: Psalm 139:14, I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. At 3 p.m. that day, staff and residents will work together to create a hand tree, which we will enjoy all week on display.
On Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 3-4 p.m., we will have open karaoke for staff and residents followed by a nacho bar.
Wednesday will bring an ice cream social from 2-4 p.m. recognizing the local fire department, EMS and law enforcement.
On Thursday, a car show from 4-6 p.m. will feature live music by Lynn Oliphant.
On Friday from 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. staff and residents will enjoy a Hawaiian meal and the luau will run from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
